Negative Campaigning
I am writing this message to let everyone know that Phil Malone and Sue Mangold have asked the Democratic Committee and their supporters to remove any negative campaign signs that have popped up throughout our town.
The East Greenbush Democrats and supporters have endured substantial negative name-calling and criticism for the past nine months. It has been a very difficult time, and the names that we have been called are, as Mike Cristo would say, offensive. We have managed to keep our heads up high and stay focused on our goals. I will admit that we have gotten caught up in the negative side of this campaign and the signs are a result. In the past couple of days several of our supporters have commented that we are starting to act like the Cristo/Taylor campaign. These supporters have voiced their disappointment and they are right!
Sue Mangold and Phil Malone are a class act and have managed to stay positive in their campaign. Their message of positive change for our community is resonating with the voters and now is not the time for any negative signs to muddy their stellar reputations. Sue and Phil are excited about the opportunity to participate in the Care debate this Thursday. They are looking forward to some fun at the Haunted House on Friday and the Democratic Committee Rally on Monday.
The Democratic Committee and our supporters will be taking down the negative signs immediately. One more note, unlike the other blog in town which is managed and monitored by the Republican candidates, EastGreenbushtalks is not managed by Sue and Phil, nor do they participate in the blog. EastGreenbushtalks is managed by several East Greenbush residents of all parties who were tired of the lies and name-calling on the other blog. The Democratic Committee can try to encourage supporters to keep the name-calling at a minimum but we do not manage the blog.
